Start a side business
Are you thinking about starting a side business? AKA (also known as) a side hustle or an opportunity to make some extra money on the side, even if you have a full-time job.
According to Chris Guillebeau, author of several books on the topic, everyone should have a side hustle. It’s just not safe anymore to put all eggs in one basket (job), because job security doesn’t exist anymore.

Books about starting a side business
Over the years he wrote several books and one of my favorites is The $100 Startup. Easy to read and very inspiring stories of people who started a side business with a small investment of $100 or less. He recently published a new book that came out in October 2017: Side Hustle, From Idea to Income in 27 Days, and of course I had to get it too!
Chris Guillebeau came to Atlanta!
Chris is doing a 100-city book tour and came to Atlanta about a month ago. I registered to attend his lecture and he was so kind to autograph my books afterwards. Chris must be one of the nicest famous persons on earth. He has this amazing connection with his audience and was very encouraging to anyone who dared to speak up about their side hustle (or idea). This guy knows what he is talking about, from his own experience and from interviewing hundreds of people about their side business, which is evident in his books.
If you are thinking about it, I highly, highly recommend his books to learn more or at least get inspiration about your side hustle, you will not regret it! Chris also started a podcast at the beginning of 2017 and publishes a new episode every day. Best 10-15 minutes spent during my commute listening to the Sidehustle School podcast.
